Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sledge? +

Sledge is a platform built to make it easier to host, join, and share real-world experiences. Whether it's a skills session, casual gathering, or group activity, Sledge helps people organize what's happening, collect payments, and make it official — all in one place.

What kinds of experiences can I host or join? +

At launch, users can host anything from a beach picnic or birthday BBQ to a tennis class or guitar jam. You can share your skills, organize group events, or formalize casual meetups. Whether structured or spontaneous, if it's an experience that happens in real life — it belongs on Sledge.

When will Sledge launch? +

We're planning to launch in Q2 2025. You can sign up on our homepage to stay updated and be among the first to try it.

What's available at launch? +
  • Host experiences (with a title, description, slots, and pricing)
  • Manage signups and collect payments via Stripe
  • Share your listings with friends or the public
  • Get your first ratings and build a track record as a host

We're starting with hosting features first, and the ability to request experiences will follow shortly after.

Where will Sledge be available? +

We'll launch in select regions first, with plans to expand across more cities globally. Our goal is to support vibrant local ecosystems of shared experiences, wherever you are.

How can I become a host? +

Anyone can host. If you've got something to share — whether it's a skill, a space, or just an idea for an experience — you can create a listing and invite others to join. Hosts will also receive ratings to help build trust in the community.

Will user verification be available? +

Yes. In a future release, we'll introduce optional user verification to help build credibility and transparency. This will help both hosts and participants feel more confident in who they're interacting with.

Is this like an event app or marketplace? +

Not quite. Sledge is designed as a lightweight experience platform, not a formal event tool or gig marketplace. It's built for everyday people to turn ideas into real-world happenings — without all the overhead.
