๐Ÿ€ From Gathering to Growth: The Different Types of Listings on Sledge

At its heart, Sledge is about making real-life experiences easier to organize, enjoy, and share โ€” especially when there's money involved.

From hosting a friendly tennis session to planning a birthday BBQ or splitting the cost of a weekend getaway, Sledge helps you formalize it, manage it, and bring people together. No group chats. No payment headaches. Just clarity, trust, and good times.

๐ŸŽ‰ What Can You Host on Sledge?

Sledge lets you host any gathering that brings people together around a shared activity. At launch, we focus on the most natural formats:

1. Sessions

Structured, time-bound activities โ€” learning, practicing, or doing something together.

Examples: Tennis, yoga, music jam, cooking class.

2. Gatherings

More casual, social meetups.

Examples: Beach day, house party, game night, hike.

3. Services (Coming Soon)

Need help urgently or offering help to others? Think:

Cleaners, emergency locksmiths, handymen, or even wasp nest removal at 2am.

Our future vision is to be the go-to platform for real-life needs โ€” not just for fun, but for function.

4. Spaces (Mid-Term Vision)

We also want to help people discover and book locations to host sessions in โ€” like gyms, courts, kitchens, or creative studios. Many of these are hard to access or underutilized, and we're building tools to connect people and places in a smarter way.

โœ๏ธ Creating a Listing โ€” Made Simple

Hosting on Sledge is about removing friction. We designed the creation flow to feel easy, flexible, and clear โ€” without sacrificing control.

Here's how you'll set up an experience:

๐Ÿ“ 1. What's This About?

Give your listing a title, choose the activity type, add available slots, and drop a short description so people know what they're joining.

๐Ÿ“ 2. When & Where

Pick a one-time or recurring schedule. Add time, date, and location. That's it.

๐Ÿ’ฐ 3. Choose How Costs Are Handled

We support three pricing models:

โ€ข Per Person โ€” each participant pays their own share

โ€ข Total Cost โ€” one price split equally

โ€ข Dynamic Pricing โ€” the more people join, the lower the price

As a host, you can even choose whether you pay too, or just split the rest.

โš™๏ธ 4. Tailor Your Preferences

This section adapts based on the listing type.

You can define:

โ€ข Equipment availability

โ€ข Minimum number of participants

โ€ข Skill levels

โ€ข Waitlist, auto-accept, and auto-cancel settings

We're working on making this even more dynamic in the future, based on what kind of experience is being created.

๐Ÿ’ฌ What About Requests?

While Sledge launches as a host-first platform, requests are coming soon.

Soon, you'll be able to say:

โ€ข "I'm looking for a personal trainer this weekend."

โ€ข "Need a guitar teacher for my kid."

โ€ข "Is anyone down for a sunset run?"

Requests will turn Sledge into a two-way street, allowing anyone to raise their hand and find someone who can help. It's about closing the loop between what you want to do and who can help make it happen.

๐ŸŒ Our Vision: A Platform for Anything That Happens in Real Life

We're building this platform because we've faced these exact issues ourselves.

The friction of organizing. The awkwardness of collecting money. The confusion around what something actually is before you say yes. The missed opportunities because someone simply didn't know how to structure or present what they were offering.

We believe we've come up with a more elegant approach โ€” one that helps hosts communicate more clearly, makes coordination effortless, and creates trust from the first tap.

Sledge shall become the go-to platform for anything that's ongoing in real life โ€” whether you want to do something, or get something done.

From casual hangouts to skill-building sessions, spontaneous meetups to urgent help, it all has a place here.

Do things. Get things done.
Sledge it โ€” it's legit.
